This past weekend the Augusta National Golf Club hosted the 84th Masters tournament, in Augusta, GA. Pro-golfers from around the globe honed their skills to compete for the coveted title and jacket. No crowds lining the fairways this year due to COVID. While the roar of the crowd was absent, fans watched virtually, streamed live online, and tuned in at home and local sports pubs. The New York Times does a great job at illustrating the contrast of this year’s crowd vs previous years.
First time Masters winner, Dustin Johnson, was presented with the Masters green-jacket by five times Masters tournament winner, Tiger Woods. Johnson, overwhelmed by achieving his life-long dream, was emotional and speechless during his acceptance. He had dreamt of this since he was a little boy. Not only did Johnson win, he set a new record with the lowest score to par in the history of the Masters at Augusta National.

“I had a tough time there speaking with Amanda on the putting green,” Johnson stated. “Just because like I said, it means so much to me. It means so much to my family, Paulina, the kids. They know it's something that I've always been dreaming about and it's why I work so hard.”
